Cover Letter

My translation experience starts in 2006, when I first helped an online browser-based game company to expand their products to the Romanian and Spanish market. Since then, I have translated more than 15 browser-based games to and from English, Spanish and Romanian for several companies. Furthermore, for the same companies, I have worked as Community Manager, in Customer Support and Board and Game Administrator for more than 9 years.

As a freelance translator and editor, I helped multiple companies to localize and get their products to Spanish, Catalan and Romanian markets. I have also achieved to help local Spanish, Romanian and Catalan companies to expand their business to the international market by translating their websites, press releases and documents to English.

During these years of translation experience, I have translated books, websites, mobile games and applications, manuals and documents of any type, from engineering, construction, IT, and medical documents to legal, automation, economics, bioenergy and patents documents. I have also experience in certificates, diplomas, licenses and CVs translation.

My experience is not limited to translation, I am also able to help with transcription, transcreation, editing/proofreading, DTP, software and game localization and as project manager, since I have good communication skills and I am a problem-solver.

I have good knowledge of and I am able to use several CAT Tools, such as Trados Studio, Passolo, MemoQ, SmartCAT, Memsource, OmegaT and MateCat and the ability to adapt to any CAT Tool since I am a very fast learner.

I have also good knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Publisher, Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, AutoCad, PageMaker, FrameMaker, QuarkXPress, InDesign and Coreldraw.
